Mollie M. M. McCoy

Hi, I’m Mollie, I’m a designer, a maximalist, and honestly, kind of a recovering overthinker. I was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado, and spent a couple of years in Bozeman, Montana after high school, trying to figure things out. I started college there, but after having a stroke in 2019 and with the world shutting down in 2020, I came back home and finished my degree in Journalism with a minor in Philosophy at MSU Denver.

After graduating in 2022, I bounced between a lot of things: substitute teaching, freelance film, client relations, and political coordination. I taught kids from kindergarten through high school, worked on local campaigns, and managed one completely solo that brought in over 14,000 votes. All of it gave me a crash course in how people communicate, how we tell stories, and how design can make those stories actually land.

I am at the tail end of my Master’s in Strategic Communication Design at CU Boulder, and now I’m looking for what’s next.

I design with a lot of feeling. Not because I want to be loud, but because I care too much. I like when things feel a little messy, whether it’s a brand, an app, or something in between, I want to make work that resonates with people.
